Celebrating Strength: A Heartfelt Donation to Novant Health’s Cancer Department

Sisters of Solidarity believe in the power of support, compassion, and community—values that are especially important when it comes to facing health challenges. Recently, we had the privilege of making a donation to the Novant Health Cancer Department in honor of our incredible member, Sister Christy Lofton, who has successfully completed their chemotherapy treatment. This donation was our way of celebrating their strength, resilience, and determination throughout their cancer journey.

Sister Lofton’s battle with cancer has been nothing short of inspiring. Throughout their treatment, they showed immense courage, positivity, and unwavering hope, not only for themselves but for others facing similar challenges. As an organization, we wanted to honor her journey by giving back to the very community that supported her along the way.

In recognition of the challenges faced by cancer patients and their families, we donated a variety of snacks, comfort items, and supplies to the Novant Health Cancer Department. These items were carefully selected to provide comfort and nourishment to patients undergoing treatment, offering a small but meaningful gesture of support during their difficult days. From snacks that can be enjoyed during long treatment sessions to personal care items that bring a sense of normalcy, we hoped to ease the burden on patients and bring a little joy to their journey.

We are grateful for the compassionate staff at Novant Health who work tirelessly to care for cancer patients and their families. Our donation is just a small way to show our appreciation for all they do. It was also a reminder of how important it is to support one another through life’s toughest moments.
