Walking for a cause: our Journey at the Charlotte kidney walk
Sisters of Solidarity believes in the power of community and supporting one another through both challenges and triumphs. This year, we had the honor of participating in the Charlotte Kidney Walk, a heartfelt event that brought together individuals, families, and organizations in support of those impacted by kidney disease. The walk wasn’t just an event—it was a celebration of resilience, hope, and the incredible strength of the human spirit.
The day was filled with smiles, encouragement, and a shared commitment to raising funds for kidney disease research, education, and patient support programs. As we walked, we were reminded of the importance of community and the difference we can make when we stand united. Whether it was by donating, participating in the walk, or cheering from the sidelines, our supporters played an essential role in making this event a success.
Our involvement in the walk had a very personal meaning. One of our own members, Sister Aspasia Sanders, has been living with kidney disease, and her journey inspired us to come together as a team. For us, this walk was not just about raising awareness for kidney health, but also about showing unwavering support for Sister Sanders and others who face similar challenges every day.
We are incredibly proud to have been part of the Charlotte Kidney Walk and are grateful for the opportunity to support our community in such a meaningful way. The funds raised will go towards advancing kidney disease research and providing critical resources to those affected. We also extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us, whether in person or in spirit, for making this experience so memorable.
As we continue to support individuals like Sister Sanders and advocate for kidney health, we’re reminded of the power of collective action and the positive change we can achieve together. Thank you for walking with us. Together, we are making a difference!
Stay tuned for upcoming events and opportunities to get involved, as we remain committed to supporting our community and making an impact where it matters most.
