Souper Bowl of Caring: Spreading Joy at The Mulberry Senior Living Apartment Community

Sisters of Solidarity believe in giving back to our community in meaningful ways. Each month, we dedicate time to a special community service project, and this February, we had the joy of visiting Mulberry Place Senior Living Apartments for an afternoon filled with crafts, good food, and even better company.

Crafting and Connection

Spending time with the residents of Mulberry Place was truly heartwarming. We brought along a variety of craft supplies, and together, we created beautiful handmade pieces. From colorful paper crafts to simple yet creative decorations, it was wonderful to see everyone’s artistic side shine. More than just making crafts, the real magic was in the conversations, the laughter, and the stories shared across the table.

Comfort Food and Sweet Treats

Of course, no gathering is complete without delicious food! We served a warm, homemade soup that brought comfort on a chilly day, along with a selection of sweet treats that were enjoyed by all. It was a small way to show our appreciation for the residents and bring a little extra warmth to their afternoon.

These moments remind us of the importance of human connection. Simple acts of kindness—like sharing a meal, lending an ear, or creating something together—can have a lasting impact. We are grateful for the opportunity to spend time with the wonderful residents of Mulberry Place and look forward to our next community service event!
